Emergency Rent & Mercy Assistance (ERMA)
This program is under the direction of The Jesse Tree of Idaho, a non-profit organization that advocates and promotes endeavors that improve community health and well-being.  The ERMA is under the City of Boise and receives funding from public and private donations.  For information call (208) 383-9486, please dial 711 for the Idaho Relay Service.  Office hours are 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Tuesday - Thursday.

Idaho Moms' Network
A local volunteer non-profit support network for stay-at-home and part-time stay -at-home parents and their children. Salvation Army S.A.F.E. Center
The S.A.F.E. Center for emergency housing provides intact families, single parent families and single women a safe secure environment.  Each family receives a private room and single women share a room with up to two other women.  Each family or individual is provided with three meals per day, access to laundry facilities, a playground for children, and personal care products.  Case management is required for each family and single woman in the program.  Case managers assist families in setting goals that lead them to overcome their current obstacles to self-sufficiency.  The program emphasizes employment, financial management, and accessing affordable housing.  Applicants must set up an appointment and be approved for the program.  Interested applicants can call 208-433-4430. 

SEICAA Working Closet
The Working Closet is a resource for men and women working to become self-sufficient by entering the workforce.  Clothing is provided to those participants who need professional attire to attend job interviews or those who need clothing specific to their employment positions.  participants are provided with complete outfits as not charge.  If specialty items are needed (uniforms or steel-toed boots), participants are given referrals and/or vouchers to purchase them.  For more information or to make a donation, call (208) 232-1114 or visit SEICAA at 641 N. 8th Ave in Pocatello.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Established to insure the availability of emergency shelter and crisis line services throughout Idaho for domestic violence victims and their dependent children.  Services include providing victims and advocates of victims information and referrals to Idaho domestic violence programs in their area; provide funding to organizations assisting victims of domestic violence and their children.  Phone: (208) 334-6512; (800) 291-0463; Idaho 24-hour Hotline (800) 669-3179; National Domestic Violence 24-hour Hotline (800) 799-7233.

Family Services Alliance
The FSA provides safe shelter, education, opportunity and hope to women and children victimized by domestic and sexual violence.  They promote safe and healthy families, work to end physical and mental abuse, and provide victim support.  For more information call 208-232-1114.

EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN

Loving kids by helping parents!  On-line parenting classes, parenting advice and other information for parenting.  This is a non-profit and all classes are free.

Idaho Parents as Teachers (PAT)  www.patnc.org

Parents Encouraging Parents (PEP) www.parentingonline.org
Consists of parents and professionals concerned about the quality of family life.  Its purpose is to promote the health of families in all aspects: physical, mental, social and emotional. PEP provides online parenting classes ranging from the techniques of building love and showing respect t your children to dealing with the string-willed or out-of-control kids.  Other issues include joint custody, divorce, separation, step parenting, stepchildren, visitation, addiction, alcohol and drug abuse.

Soundstart
